I hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday. Let’s follow it with a prosperous New Year.

The Reds are solidly undefeated at home with 3W and 5T and have a great opportunity to win their next two matches; both at Anfield against Blackburn and Newcastle respectively.

Liverpool -2 (+108)

I know what you’re thinking; -2 for Liverpool against anyone is a ridiculous handicap considering The Reds have been notorious for playing down to the level of their competition. However, I can’t see how Rovers are going to score today. Liverpool have the best GAA in the EPL. If by chance they get a penalty or an O.G. well then there’s nothing I can do to cap for that occurrence.

Rovers have only scored 6 away goals and are lining the bottom of the table. They have yet to win on the road, have lost 3 in a row and 5 of their last 6. Their defense is riddled with injuries; out are Nelsen, Dann and Salgado.

The Blackburn organization is in utter KAOS and their next step is likely the firing of their manager. Will this be the match that does it? Maybe! IMHO, this is a complete mismatch and I expect The Reds to start fast and score quickly. If you can still get it at -1.5, jump on it!!!

Three Team Money Line Parlay (0.88 : 1)

Manchester United ML (-600)
Wigan are a never give up type team but I cannot see how they can walk away from this match with any points. MU is solid at home this year 6-1-1.

Chelsea ML (-330)
The Pensioners should get an easy win against a Fulham squad that can’t score on the road (4 goals – worst in the EPL).

Liverpool ML (-420)
The Blackburn organization is in utter KAOS and IMHO, this is a complete mismatch.

i have switched sides and think AVB needs to go....a fulham draw would help me a great deal but he takes off Lampard and Sturridge and keeps Torres on...and puts him on the right side. He just doesn't understand football.....so good for arsenal (so far) but enjoy 2012 back in Portugal i think

gl today - hopefully those 3 didn't eat too much at x-mas

If you have read my other posts you certainly know that I am not in favor of Villa Boas as the Chelsea manager. I can't argue with his resume too much but I don't like his attitude and the fact that he has never palyed pro football.

His lack of vision is clear. He continues to field an 11 that looks very much like the OLD Chelsea. He surprised me today by tossing Torres in there but he needs to remove Drogba at the top. Then focus on Mata, Romelu and Sturridge and ween Drogba, Lampard and Terry from the squad. These guys were great when players, but the Pensioners need to make a fresh beginning.

There needs to be changes in West London and IMHO unless they make the above switches; Chelsea will continue to disappoint as they did today. The ball is round and anything can happen, but AVB needs a changing of the guard if he is to be successful. Time is running out. LOL

I have to appologize to all who followed.

In the first 35 minutes Liverpool have squandered 5 good chances, 1 offside goal, 1 sure penalty that was called offside (wrongly) and faced 1 point blank save to keep the Reds off the score sheet. Should be easily 2-0 at this point.

It's not my day and I have seen plenty of football to know that I must accept defeat and that Blackburn have made a Pact with the Devil.

Moving On!

i realize it was wigan but i think Utd just showed me that they are the only team that can win the EPL. Chelsea and City just have the wrong guy managing and the players are either too old in Chelsea case or too superstarish in Citeh. Utd might win by 9 points by the end of the year. It could be a great weekend for arsenal if we can win tomorrow but judging by today that will be tough.

But don't worry about the day - happens to all of us - I am waiting til Jan to play though...no reason they should be playing so many games during the holidays. the FA is brutal

It amazes me how much Torres has fallen off. He has sucked incredibly for the last two seasons, and given the fact that the crowd roars when he doesn't get dispossessed is laughable. He shouldn't see the pitch at all...

It will be a stretch for the title race... African Cup of Nations may hurt City, but it is unlikely they will fall less than 4 points behind United at any given point in time.

1)United
2)City
3)Tottenham
4)Arsenal

You may be right on with your opinion. Man U can win BIG too.

MU look unstoppable since being elliminated from the CL. They have a fierce attack and without the CL to worry about have the edge. If they can heal some injuries they will give City a run for their money.

I'm curious to see what cocktailsnlongshots has to say about City. He's got a good grasp on them.

MU look very confident and they're winning. A recipe for success.

yeah i don't think he'll agree with me .. haha...and maybe 9 point win is a little harsh but chelsea took time to win and city still has, imho, 2-3 years to go before they can win. Still some big games for everyone so i am not ready to crown UTD and City has the players to turn this around and win 6-7 straight but i watch a lot of city games and the way they play on the road they don't look like champs. And their manager makes some bizarre and brutal tactical moves. LGOTB's top 4 looks about right but i'll never accept tottenham ahead of arsenal so let's flip those teams..haha..

gl today if you play - jan 14th is when i will be back betting/posting....i lose too much money in late dec because results don't follow stats
